Hiking and Fishing in Vail
There is plenty of trout to be caught in Vail, with great fly fishing right in your back yard. Additionally, there are plenty of stunning views around the Vail area to seek out a hike. You can conquer a large peak, stroll through a meadow of wildflowers, or discover an alpine lake. Booth Falls is a gentle 4.6 mile out and back trail great for a day trip that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible from June until August. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Lost Lake Trail is a 7.5 mile out and back that features a lake and is good for all skill levels, and is accessible from June until September. These trails are found in the White River National Forest.
